They have also worked on a very fast track to meet our extremely tight and critical timing deadlines, which will enable us to enroll students in our three new colleges in the fall of 2009.” In a unique approach to teaching, medical students from different specialties will have the opportunity to work together in professional student learning rotations to examine and treat patients in the clinic. The outpatient clinic will also be staffed by Western University faculty and will be open to the general public.
Other services in the Patient Care Center include a pharmacy, optometry clinic and an outpatient dental clinic. The facility also includes an attached seven-level parking structure, and is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2009.
“It has been a great experience working with everyone at Western University,” says James Rohan, Senior VP, Development, PMB. “Even though this project required a lot of coordination with the deans of many departments, the team was very cooperative in giving us input for the programming.
